I recently purchased hull #2 of the M31 series, "Esperanza", in Los Angeles. The previous owner had outfitted it with serious intentions of cruising to Hawaii. His age prevented him from maintaining the boat properly. So, I have much deferred maintenance to do...side-decks, rigging, hull work, and wood preservation. Oh, and lots of leaks when it rains. The bilge was dry, due to his reacent hauling for work from the waterline down.
