Here are a few facts about our Mariner 31 "Destiny". I purchased her three years ago in Newport Beach California she has a clipper bow and wascommisioned in 1971 hull No. 91 as "Vaghbundo". My understanding is that the boat was sailed to Hawaii in the 70"s and pitch polled during that transitand a book was written about that storm and event.If you have any information about this book that was written please let me know?My wife and I are up-grading the boat for future cruising.I currently work on Lake Erie as a Merchant Marine Officer which allows me the winter months off to enjoy sailing and working on the boat in Long Beach Ca..I have also passed this site on to my father who also owned a Mariner 32 and sailed her to Hawaii in the 80's and speaks very highly about the early 70 models.
