Melora was originally named Ranger and was delivered in Duluth. After a few years of sailing Lake Superior Ranger was shipped to Texas and sailed in central America, including a transit of the panama canal, and eventually made it's way to Florida. Several owners lived aboard at Key West, for many years, the last owner named the boat Dark Companion of Sirius. I purchased the boat in 1998 and shipped it from Norfolk VA to Michigan,and named it Melora .
