purchased this year from Charlie and Miranda who purchased from the previous
owners (under the name "Embrace") in 2019. They renamed her to
"The Blue Pearl". They did some work and upgrades and sailed her in
the Green Bay / Door County area. I've had my eye on Mariner 31's for some time
now, and actually both Charlie and I had gone to see her sister
"Melora" (Hull #108 vs #107) in Michigan when she was up for sale
years ago. I recently moved back to Chicago after some time in Brooklyn, NY and
had submitted my deposit for the Chicago Harbors mooring assignments before I
even closed on a place. Luckily I got my top pick of a Mooring Buoy in
beautiful Montrose Harbor. Very excited to sail her this season and get started
on some projects! First trip was a turn-key shakedown trip motor-sailing from
Oconto, WI to Chicago and it went excellently.
