Vol au Vent II was built in Japan in 1970. She is a fiberglass hull that was commissioned by Joan & Kent Enderly of Los Angeles, CA. Byron & Linda Wood have owned and lived aboard for over 15 years. For the last 5 years we have been restoring her. She now has all new decks, cockpit, cabin sides, various beams, new electrical, Sterling paint etc. The mahogony interior has been stripped, sanded, stained & varnished. We will soon start work on the masts. In the early stages of the renovation, Andrew Matthewson, master shipwright, was very active in the project, otherwise we have done all of our own work. So, we'll get it done when we get it done...
We heard about this website from Clair Oberly's son, Matt (?). He was cruising by and said "My dad built that boat!"
